STRICTLY star Dev Griffin, Huw Stephens and Phil Taggart are leaving Radio 1 as part of a huge station shake up – with five new presenters taking their place.
The three favourites will be marking the end of their time on the much-loved radio station next month.

Dev Griffin, 35, who has been a presenter on Radio 1 since 2009, took to Instagram to share the news about his departure.
He told his 100k followers: “Being a DJ on Radio 1 for the past 11 years and 1Xtra for 7 years has been a childhood dream come true and it’s been a huge part of my life.”
“I have made some amazing memories and even better friends. It’s been an absolute privilege and a pleasure to waffle and entertain so many listeners but I’m ready for some new challenges.”
A long list of our favourite celebrities flocked to the comment section to say their goodbyes to the presenter.

The Saturdays star Mollie King replied: “Noooo Dev! You will be so missed! ”
Geordie Shore legend Vicky Pattison commented: “Awww Dev, you will be greatly missed
And fellow presenter Nick Grimshaw added: “Devvvvvv! We you! Can’t wait to see what you do next. Are you joined Idles? X”
The star, who took part in the 17th series of Strictly Come Dancing last year, has decided that it’s time to focus on other presenting opportunities.

Meanwhile Huw Stephens, 39, who first joined Radio 1 in 1999 at the age of 17, will also be leaving the station.
He shared with his 39.5k followers on Instagram earlier today: “Leaving Radio 1. I’ve had a lovely time; thanks for your company over the years!”
The third presenter to hang up their microphone is Phil Taggart – who became the host of BBC Introducing in Northern Ireland in 2013 and soon after began appearing on Radio 1’s national programmes.
The presenter took to his social media to share a lengthy post about his hugely successful career with Radio 1 alongside a range of throwback snaps of him on the job.

He wrote: “After ten years working and nine years broadcasting at @BBCR1 it’s time to give up my seat and microphone and pass it on to the next person.
“It has completely changed my life and I thank everyone that has helped me and worked with me along the way (Producers, Assistant Producers, Execs, Friends).
“It’s been my dream job. I always knew it was going to be painful stepping away from it, and it is. Good luck to @sianelerievanss who is taking over.”
Although it’s a sad time for many avid listeners, there are five new presenters that are ready and raring to go for their new roles to start in the new year.
